But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Broussard couldn't finish the play. Norberto Manuel made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Alfonso Adkins sent off a good shot on target. Norberto Manuel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rocky Blue's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Andres Peoples kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Julian Pariseau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Cartier in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rocky Blue was the one to do the kick off. Norberto Manuel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Adkins, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Charlottetown AFC's Hung Parson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Alfonso Adkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Adkins in the 57th minute of play forced Charlottetown AFC's goalkeeper Norberto Manuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drinnan's Alfonso Adkins got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute Rocky Blue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Manuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Drinnan's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
