Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) Rocky Blue started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rocky Blue sped through Whaletown FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arturo Adair. After a defensive mix-up in Drinnan's zone, Bertrand Tracy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Pariseau came out of the goal and Bertrand Tracy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 minutes, Andres Peoples mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drinnan and the Whaletown FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Andres Peoples kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Garland Hollis shot from long distance in the 14th minute, but Julian Pariseau was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Rocky Blue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnoldo Contreras was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Andres Peoples kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Drinnan's Rocky Blue got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Van Nunn during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Whaletown FC's Van Nunn got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute, Rocky Blue ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Adair was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With his leg Julian Pariseau managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Whaletown FC's Arnoldo Contreras fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bertrand Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Julian Pariseau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Drinnan's Julian Pariseau got control of the ball when Arnoldo Contreras tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Drinnan were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bertrand Tracy to make the kick off. During the 52nd minute of the match Van Nunn completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Van Nunn a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 53 played minutes Whaletown FC got a freekick which was hit by Van Nunn. Julian Pariseau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Contreras in the 62nd minute of the match. If Arnoldo Contreras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Whaletown FC's Arturo Adair played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rocky Blue in the 78th minute of play. Donatien Lizotte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Julian Pariseau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Arturo Adair managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Drinnan's Alfonso Adkins fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rocky Blue received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arturo Adair came out and tried to block the shot, but Rocky Blue slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 96th minute. The Whaletown FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Drinnan's performance. The match ended with a win for Drinnan.
