Spectators: 6718 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 0) Whaletown FC's Bertrand Tracy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Whaletown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Van Nunn to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Whaletown FC's goalkeeper Arturo Adair, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Whaletown FC got a freekick which was hit by Calvin Yu. Forrest Hayes, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 25th minute, Arnoldo Contreras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Van Nunn got free with Oswaldo Sands in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oswaldo Sands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertrand Tracy in the 35th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mulvihill fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! Garland Hollis walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 43rdth minute of the game Bertrand Tracy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mulvihill's Oswaldo Sands was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bertrand Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eddie Carrière made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Mulvihill's Matthew Paimboeuf got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Garland Hollis kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Arturo Adair made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Humberto Medley sent off a good shot on target. Bertrand Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oswaldo Sands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Contreras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnoldo Contreras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnoldo Contreras in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo Sands prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eddie Carrière had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Adam Thomason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bertrand Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, Whaletown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lindsey Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Medley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Arturo Adair made a huge save. Arnoldo Contreras charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnoldo Contreras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Humberto Medley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mulvihill's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Medley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Adair breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eddie Carrière fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Adair having to interfere. Oswaldo Sands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Contreras, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
