Merrill Dionne came out of the goal and Columbus Petersen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Monte Roark's late challenge caught a Brownsburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Monte Roark helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Shebandowan's Monte Roark got a free kick in the 35th minute. Randell Duhamel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diodore Manley in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Tristan Strickland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anatole Ballard struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Don Felder to make the kick off. Cody Lévesque was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Anatole Ballard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shebandowan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anatole Ballard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Shebandowan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
