Eric Wenerdahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Burt Benoit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Liu Zheng came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Victoria Wolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liu Zheng couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Whitworth AFC's goalkeeper Burt Benoit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Roach. In the 15th minute Thibault Draper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orval Rubin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Roach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Victoria Wolves's Liu Zheng dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Liu Zheng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Burt Benoit was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Victoria Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrick Foley came free, but Orval Rubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Géraud Parnell kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The Victoria Wolves fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Victoria Wolves's Liu Zheng looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Eric Wenerdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Whitworth AFC's Burt Benoit proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Whitworth AFC from getting a goal against them. Dominique Hernandez hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Rene Roach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thibault Draper to strike the kick off in the second half. If Quinton Hinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Victoria Wolves's Eric Wenerdahl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Burt Benoit made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Roach in the 63rd minute of play forced Whitworth AFC's goalkeeper Burt Benoit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sal Godin kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. If Liu Zheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Whitworth AFC's Sal Godin got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute, Rene Roach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Victoria Wolves fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. If Rene Roach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Wenerdahl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Burt Benoit read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Liu Zheng sped through Whitworth AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Burt Benoit. Burt Benoit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Wenerdahl in the 89th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Liu Zheng sped through Whitworth AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Burt Benoit.
