After a rather tough play, Waskatenau AFC's Thad Belcher got a free kick in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Howard Mayberry in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger Lozano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the game, Joseph Gates was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newark AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Waskatenau AFC the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Newark AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Gates to maneuver through the defense. After 30 minutes, Howard Mayberry mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newark AFC and the Waskatenau AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Constantin Collins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mitch Charron charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mitch Charron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Newark AFC booed when Waskatenau AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mitch Charron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noé Acevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Palmer Brooks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Newark AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Waskatenau AFC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Howard Mayberry made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Howard Mayberry in the 53rd minute of play forced Waskatenau AFC's goalkeeper Roger Lozano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Howard Mayberry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Lozano having to interfere. Palmer Brooks was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Noé Acevedo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 57 minute of play. Noé Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Palmer Brooks having to interfere. Waskatenau AFC's Roger Lozano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lamar Boggs in the 75th minute of play. Noé Acevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Palmer Brooks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Waskatenau AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lamar Boggs came free, but Roger Lozano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lamar Boggs came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Newark AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lamar Boggs couldn't finish the play. Roger Lozano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Howard Mayberry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waskatenau AFC's Noé Acevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
