After 2 played minutes, Hussar's Jules Snow shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Myles Nielsen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hussar reached it. Myles Nielsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jed Bragg, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Jed Bragg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Myles Nielsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bristol's Myles Nielsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Diaz in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Bristol's Lambert Albert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Warner Brady narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norbert Ragland in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Warner Brady saved Hussar from getting behind. Jed Bragg might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Myles Nielsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jed Bragg ran back to his position shaking his head. Warner Brady took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Ragland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norbert Ragland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Warner Brady tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hussar booed when Bristol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yves Pendleton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gil Diaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Myles Nielsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Diaz ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 38 minutes, Gil Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hussar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Diaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Gil Diaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Myles Nielsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jed Bragg to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Jed Bragg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Myles Nielsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jed Bragg in the 57th minute of play forced Bristol's goalkeeper Myles Nielsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Myles Nielsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jed Bragg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Perdue was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 66th match minute, Bristol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gail Dupont to maneuver through the defense. Boris Barrette hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Lambert Albert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bristol's Norbert Ragland got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norbert Ragland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warner Brady having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Lambert Albert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bristol's supporters rose to their feet, but Lambert Albert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Warner Brady breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Warner Brady showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Ragland in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Leandro Sauvé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Warner Brady saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mike Grady fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hussar's protests and gave Mike Grady a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bristol booed when Hussar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Grady didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Gil Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hussar's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Diaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Myles Nielsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes in the game, Jed Bragg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Myles Nielsen having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Gil Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hussar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Diaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Bristol supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hussar's performance. The match ended with a win for Hussar.
