One of RC BARCARES:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quetico:s goal. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Quetico. Cornelius Guy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paulo Obeko. 2-1. If Maxwell Greer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of RC BARCARES booed when Quetico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reuben Connelly didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quetico's Columbus Canales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Quetico from getting a goal against them. After having played for 28 minutes, Apollinaire Neal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RC BARCARES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apollinaire Neal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Maxwell Greer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maxwell Greer struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valère Auclair to make the kick off. Columbus Canales was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 72 minutes into the match, RC BARCARES's goalkeeper Paulo Obeko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maynard Boudreaux. After 74 minutes of play, RC BARCARES's Jacques Rousseau made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Columbus Canales was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jacques Rousseau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Columbus Canales read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Maxwell Greer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kent Chaussée fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Columbus Canales having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Maxwell Greer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RC BARCARES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-1. Jacques Rousseau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Columbus Canales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Maxwell Greer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RC BARCARES walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
