After recieving a nice pass, Malonton's Didier Pomerleau tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Royal Lane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Torrez, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Malonton's Aurelio Torrez in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nolan Shaffer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Royal Lane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Torrez in the 56th minute of the match. Robertson FC's Ermenegilde Moser got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Malonton's zone, Ermenegilde Moser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perry Duplessis came out of the goal and Ermenegilde Moser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Royal Lane was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Ron Sands capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ron Sands really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1.
