Mulgrave's Fredric Lacombe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Millard King in the 26th minute of play. Alain Connelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Pavilion AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Couet came free, but Jeramy Witt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes, Earle Napier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mulgrave and the Pavilion AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dudley Dubé charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dudley Dubé the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pavilion AFC booed when Mulgrave was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudley Dubé didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes Pavilion AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jacques Mosher. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Millard King to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Mulgrave's goalkeeper Fredric Lacombe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacques Mosher. Wyatt Fontenot's late challenge caught a Pavilion AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wyatt Fontenot helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mulgrave's Wyatt Fontenot got a free kick in the 60th minute. Jacques Mosher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Fredric Lacombe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredric Lacombe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Millard King, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Millard King's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fredric Lacombe was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. After 72 played minutes Mulgrave got a freekick which was hit by Dudley Dubé. Pavilion AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stevie Ouellet in the 75th minute. In the 75th minute, Alain Connelly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mulgrave's goalkeeper Fredric Lacombe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Pavilion AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Couet came free, but Jeramy Witt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
