Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emery Hurley started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rayford Jorgensen during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, one of Gunworth:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gunworth. Ambrose Holbrook kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Rayford Jorgensen struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Morris Pendleton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gunworth. If Dewey Hutchinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emery Hurley in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Morris Pendleton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Graham Dickson fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Normandeau's protests and gave Graham Dickson a yellow card for diving instead. 21 minutes into the match, Gunworth's goal looked a bit too open when Eustache Massey came free, but Nazaire Bloom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Normandeau's Boniface John in 24 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Nazaire Bloom guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Graham Dickson got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Dewey Hutchinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Boniface John managed to get in a good position for a shot. Normandeau's supporters rose to their feet, but Boniface John was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nazaire Bloom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dewey Hutchinson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Morris Pendleton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 41 minutes of play, Normandeau's Boniface John made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nazaire Bloom was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Boniface John could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Nazaire Bloom made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Gunworth's Gaétan Hensley got a free kick in the 69th minute. The Gunworth fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Gunworth's Emery Hurley looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rufus Elias hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Dewey Hutchinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Morris Pendleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Marcellus Goff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Eustache Massey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Normandeau's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustache Massey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nazaire Bloom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dewey Hutchinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Morris Pendleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Evrard Trujillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Normandeau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gunworth the free kick. The supporters of Gunworth booed when Normandeau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evrard Trujillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 97 minutes Normandeau's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rayford Jorgensen who took care of the corner kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Normandeau players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gunworth.
