After a defensive mix-up in Taloyoak FC's zone, Gary McLaughlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Swenson came out of the goal and Gary McLaughlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Swenson was a little too slow when Burt McIntyre got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-0. The referee gave Taloyoak FC a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Steve Daly, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kingsclear FC's Jordon Achin. 1-1. Kingsclear FC's Jordon Achin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Earl in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Taloyoak FC booed when Kingsclear FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norman Hinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terence Wise took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jordon Achin. Jordon Achin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Terence Wise got free with Jordon Achin in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Taloyoak FC's Salvador Earl got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Terence Wise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jordon Achin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taloyoak FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
