The audience thought a goal was coming when Ted Ivy got free with Mason Sanders in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Dodsland booed when Steele AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Myron Moran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bryce Prather showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Boyd in the 18th minute of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Robt Lépicier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dodsland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robt Lépicier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bryce Prather showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robt Lépicier in the 21st minute of the match. If Angel Worley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mason Sanders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Worley, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Ted Ivy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Steele AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Boyd came free, but Bryce Prather reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Dodsland getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Granville Goodson hit a great ball. Steele AFC's Ted Ivy came free and shot a quick shot against goal 41 minutes in the game, fortunately Mason Sanders had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Douglas Boyd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bryce Prather read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. If Douglas Boyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Boyd was the one to do the kick off. Angel Worley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Mason Sanders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angel Worley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angel Worley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mason Sanders having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Steele AFC's goalkeeper Bryce Prather had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robt Lépicier. Mason Sanders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Worley in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Douglas Boyd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Ted Ivy notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Dodsland's Mason Sanders. Mason Sanders was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mason Sanders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Worley in the 91st minute of play. Dexter Harmon charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dexter Harmon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dexter Harmon hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. If Angel Worley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steele AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
