In the 6thth minute of the game Erich Whitehead who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Onoway FC's Paris Kim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ed Dozier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Onoway FC's Ed Dozier in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Charlemagne's goalie prevented a goal. Charlemagne's Theron Richer got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Onoway FC's Dennis Olson got a free kick in the 15th minute. Paris Haas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ed Dozier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Granville Drew hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Onoway FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Roman Babin hit a great ball. Paris Kim was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Urbain Gaudreau. Ed Dozier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paris Haas having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Dorsey Wyatt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Onoway FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Theron Richer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Paris Kim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Erich Whitehead managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charlemagne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erich Whitehead was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute of the match, Erich Whitehead tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paris Kim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erich Whitehead made a kick off. Blaise Busque tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Paris Kim. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 51st minute. Onoway FC's Clint Faust pulled a muscle in his leg after 55 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Carlton Bonsaint fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Charlemagne's protests and gave Carlton Bonsaint a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Charlemagne's Carlton Bonsaint got a free kick in the 56th minute. The audience was convinced that Erich Whitehead's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paris Kim was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Theron Richer struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Paris Kim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlemagne. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erich Whitehead in the 68th minute of play forced Onoway FC's goalkeeper Paris Kim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Erich Whitehead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Herschel Kyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the game, Ed Dozier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Paris Haas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Theron Richer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paris Kim having to interfere. Paris Kim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theron Richer, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
