When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Damon Huot sped through Chilliwack AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Darrick Pugh. A collision led to Chilliwack AFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Augustus Lay hit a great ball. Darrick Pugh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damon Huot, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute, Philbert Epps hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Prosper Thorpe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 27th minute Dana Martin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dwayne Montminy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marion Richmond in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darrick Pugh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute, Sid Copeland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marion Richmond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darrick Pugh having to interfere. Marion Richmond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Marion Richmond managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montreal Anadolu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marion Richmond was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darrick Pugh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damon Huot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Marion Richmond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montreal Anadolu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marion Richmond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The long shot by Maurice Dobson in the 59th minute really tested Darrick Pugh's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 60 played minutes Montreal Anadolu FC got a freekick which was hit by Philbert Epps. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Chilliwack AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montreal Anadolu FC:s goal. If Damon Huot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marion Richmond might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darrick Pugh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marion Richmond ran back to his position shaking his head. After 78 minutes, Shane McGinnis mouthed his way into the referee's book. When the final whistle sounded Montreal Anadolu FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chilliwack AFC.
