Art Sapp hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Hope's goal looked a bit too open when Dewayne Bowles came free, but Sebastian Baca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lothaire Pepper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 41 minutes, Alfonso Shapiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Keenan Alfaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Shapiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Kris McCormick made a huge save. Keenan Alfaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris McCormick having to interfere. Kris McCormick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keenan Alfaro in the 62nd minute of the match. Alfonso Shapiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kris McCormick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Troy's Lothaire Pepper got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewayne Bowles in the 73rd minute of play forced Hope's goalkeeper Sebastian Baca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes of play Hope's Art Sapp was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 75th match minute, Hope was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Art Sapp to maneuver through the defense. Dewayne Bowles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dewayne Bowles in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Baca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dewayne Bowles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilbert Seals kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Troy were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Hope's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Randall Mayfield took the corner. Randall Mayfield made a great header on Troy's corner, it was just that Hope's Sebastian Baca managed to reach the ball for a save. Kris McCormick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Shapiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Keenan Alfaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris McCormick having to interfere. Willian Richardson's late challenge caught a Hope's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willian Richardson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Troy getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Willian Richardson hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
