Lothaire Pepper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Marshall Dupree tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dewayne Bowles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewayne Bowles in the 12th minute of play forced Lasqueti's goalkeeper Marshall Dupree to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Darryl Pelletier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lasqueti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darryl Pelletier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everette Goodson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris McCormick having to interfere. Kris McCormick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Pelletier in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Troy booed when Lasqueti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. René George didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lothaire Pepper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marshall Dupree didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lothaire Pepper went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Marshall Dupree showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dewayne Bowles, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Willis Meier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dewayne Bowles to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Everette Goodson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris McCormick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Troy's goal looked a bit too open when Darryl Pelletier came free, but Kris McCormick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lasqueti's Marshall Dupree proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Lasqueti from getting a goal against them. Troy's Kris McCormick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darryl Pelletier in the 57th minute of play. Kris McCormick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darryl Pelletier in the 66th minute of the match. If Dewayne Bowles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dewayne Bowles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
