After the first half Millhaven AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Sylvain Carlson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Raines, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Millhaven AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jesse Holloway came free, but Sylvain Carlson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes Murdochville FC got a freekick which was hit by Duncan Bliss. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesse Holloway in the 91st minute of play forced Millhaven AFC's goalkeeper Sylvain Carlson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hal Dickinson fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Millhaven AFC's protests and gave Hal Dickinson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Millhaven AFC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play.
