In the 42nd minute, one of Metabechuoan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Metabechuoan. The wind increased when Jed Hargrove made the kick off in the second half. When Hayden Chen fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Telesphore Engle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beau Harden having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, Metabechuoan's Bryant Jewell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beau Harden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
