Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Dewayne Bowen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Derick Desruisseaux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derek Carrillo in the 14th minute of the match. Theodore Pulliam hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Armando Watkins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Derick Desruisseaux having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Troy FC's zone, Reynaldo Esparza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derick Desruisseaux came out of the goal and Reynaldo Esparza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute, Troy FC's Marcel Duran ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dewayne Bowen. Dewayne Bowen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The BLUE MACHINE fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when BLUE MACHINE's Reynaldo Esparza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Troy FC's zone, Reynaldo Esparza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derick Desruisseaux came out of the goal and Reynaldo Esparza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Armando Watkins sped through Troy FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Derick Desruisseaux. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Armando Watkins put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Derick Desruisseaux.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Duran was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Troy FC's Derick Desruisseaux got control of the ball when Theodore Pulliam tried to sneak it across the goal line. Derick Desruisseaux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Watkins in the 54th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as BLUE MACHINE's Theodore Pulliam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Derick Desruisseaux. That made the score 1-4 after 58 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, BLUE MACHINE's Theodore Pulliam got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute, Reynaldo Esparza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Giovanni Cisneros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reynaldo Esparza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Derick Desruisseaux made a huge save. BLUE MACHINE's Dewayne Bowen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derek Dozier in the 74th minute of play. If Giovanni Cisneros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Hugo Lacasse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Giovanni Cisneros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, Theodore Pulliam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
