Jed Hargrove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derick Desruisseaux having to interfere. If Edgar Dent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgar Dent was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Lemieux AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 19 minutes into the game, Hugo Lacasse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Troy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lemieux AFC the free kick. Hugo Lacasse kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Lemieux AFC's Jed Hargrove got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jed Hargrove came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Lemieux AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jed Hargrove couldn't finish the play. Hugo Lacasse hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Rayford Libby from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Derick Desruisseaux's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lemieux AFC's Jed Hargrove got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Hugo Lacasse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Derick Desruisseaux made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jed Hargrove sent off a good shot on target. Troy FC's Derick Desruisseaux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Dent in the 42nd minute of play. Blaine Faucher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beau Harden having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Linwood Ezell during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Troy FC's Chester Purvis tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Lemieux AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Joël Parsons hit a great ball. In the 74th minute of the match, Marcel Duran tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Beau Harden saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Marcel Duran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Troy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Duran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beau Harden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgar Dent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Derick Desruisseaux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute Edgar Dent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derick Desruisseaux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee gave Troy FC a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chester Purvis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lemieux AFC's Beau Harden. 3-1. If Edgar Dent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marcel Duran came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Troy FC fans jumped to their feet.
