Beau Harden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesse Holloway in the 17th minute of the match. When Bruno Raines came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Murdochville FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Raines couldn't finish the play. Lemieux AFC's Beau Harden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Lemieux AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute, Bruno Raines got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jesse Holloway was the one to do the kick off. After 69 minutes, Germain Busque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Murdochville FC and the Lemieux AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Murdochville FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Germain Busque hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hayden Chen during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Lemieux AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lemieux AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
