In the 14th minute of the match Martin Worley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcellin Bourgeau showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Murdochville FC's Marcellin Bourgeau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Duran in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Marcel Duran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcellin Bourgeau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20thth minute of the game Marcel Duran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Murdochville FC's Marcellin Bourgeau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Jesse Holloway recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Derick Desruisseaux. Jesse Holloway showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesse Holloway in the 26th minute of play forced Troy FC's goalkeeper Derick Desruisseaux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Derick Desruisseaux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesse Holloway in the 28th minute of the match. Marcellin Bourgeau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Duran, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31st play minutes Bruno Raines shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Derick Desruisseaux and just under the crossbar into goal. Marcel Duran scored 2-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcellin Bourgeau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Troy FC's Marcel Duran in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Murdochville FC's goalie prevented a goal. Marcel Duran struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Marcellin Bourgeau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Troy FC. Derick Desruisseaux was a little too slow when Jesse Holloway got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Duran was the one to do the kick off. Marcellin Bourgeau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Duran in the 53rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Germain Busque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Murdochville FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Troy FC the free kick. The supporters of Troy FC booed when Murdochville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germain Busque didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Jesse Holloway had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Derick Desruisseaux. Troy FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jesse Holloway was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Marcel Duran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Troy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Duran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcellin Bourgeau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcel Duran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Marcellin Bourgeau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Raines scored 5-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Derick Desruisseaux, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcellin Bourgeau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel Duran's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Marcellin Bourgeau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Lacasse, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Troy FC's Blaine Faucher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcellin Bourgeau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Murdochville FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
