Arden Monroe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darrel Christiansen, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darrel Christiansen in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arden Monroe saved Kangerthialuksoak from getting behind. The supporters of Kangerthialuksoak booed when Headquarters FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buford Campbell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Headquarters FC's Godelieve Nicholson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Reeves in the 14th minute of play. Godelieve Nicholson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy Brandt in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kangerthialuksoak's Shawn Kilgore got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Jules Ames took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arden Monroe. Kangerthialuksoak's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Kangerthialuksoak's goalkeeper Arden Monroe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Derrick Lilly. In the 36th minute, Headquarters FC's Derrick Lilly ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arden Monroe. Arden Monroe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 41 minutes of play, Kangerthialuksoak's Benton Jolly made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godelieve Nicholson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Headquarters FC's Godelieve Nicholson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Reeves in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Darrel Christiansen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Godelieve Nicholson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albert Reeves's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Albert Reeves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Godelieve Nicholson. That made the score 1-2 in the 56 minute of play. In the 61st minute, Lindsey Ring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Albert Reeves took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Godelieve Nicholson to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Headquarters FC's Shayne Lane got a free kick in the 69th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Headquarters FC's Derrick Lilly nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arden Monroe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. If Darrel Christiansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Headquarters FC's Godelieve Nicholson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Reeves in the 82nd minute of play. Derrick Lilly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Kangerthialuksoak's goal looked a bit too open when Darrel Christiansen came free, but Arden Monroe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godelieve Nicholson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guy Brandt went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kangerthialuksoak eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
