Brancepeth AFC's Otha Braden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Truman Crandall in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Honoré Morin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otha Braden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Brancepeth AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jean Norris hit a great ball. Otha Braden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Honoré Morin's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Mitchel Smith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tyrell Christopher stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Honoré Morin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otha Braden. Brancepeth AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Honoré Morin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Coy Major came out of the goal and Tyrell Christopher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otha Braden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honoré Morin in the 79th minute of play. If Mitchel Smith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honoré Morin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Otha Braden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Géraud Haskins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lou Westbrook walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Tyrell Christopher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute, Tyrell Christopher made a precise shot to the right of Coy Major. Sackville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Sackville's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
