After 13 played minutes Neptune got a freekick which was hit by Delmer Barker. In the 15th minute, Giuseppe Ohara made a precise shot to the right of Randell Coulombe. Neptune's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Randell Coulombe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johnathan Boucher's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute Delmer Barker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Ellis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Lucien Perdue kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Florian Ellis. That made the score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. FC Prevost's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lucien Perdue 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Neptune's Randell Coulombe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clinton Woodward in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Alain Brochu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, Giuseppe Ohara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucien Perdue stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hipolito Grayson kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of Neptune booed when FC Prevost was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Ohara didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucien Perdue in the 61st minute of play forced FC Prevost's goalkeeper Florian Ellis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Neptune's zone, Giuseppe Ohara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randell Coulombe came out of the goal and Giuseppe Ohara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Lucien Perdue's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florian Ellis was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Clinton Woodward could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Randell Coulombe made a huge save. Randell Coulombe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathan Boucher, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Gavin Merchant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Coulombe having to interfere. Gavin Merchant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clinton Woodward received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Randell Coulombe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavin Merchant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Coulombe having to interfere. Giuseppe Ohara struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Randell Coulombe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Prevost. When Alain Brochu fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neptune's protests and gave Alain Brochu a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes Neptune got a freekick which was hit by Alain Brochu. After recieving a nice pass, FC Prevost's Werner Conn tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, FC Prevost's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Rowland came free, but Florian Ellis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
