After 46 played minutes, Québec FC's Christian Zepeda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Étienne Lawrence came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Québec FC reached it. Québec FC's Sébastien Dennis got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Luc Khan made the kick off in the second half. Québec FC were furious when Wilfredo Hills was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Québec FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bellakula:s goal. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Bellakula. Shelby Delong stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Austin Dennis. 2-1. Étienne Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sébastien Dennis in the 66th minute of play. Harris Preston kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Gustave Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee ignored Bellakula's protests and gave Cameron Combs a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Bellakula was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cameron Combs to maneuver through the defense. Sébastien Dennis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Étienne Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Québec FC's Austin Dennis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cameron Combs in the 93rd minute of play. Québec FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
