In the 3rd minute Brock Kearney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 played minutes Bacotville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Harry McCord. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucien Perdue in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sammy Koehler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Randell Coulombe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Harry McCord showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korey Pépin in the 14th minute of play forced Neptune's goalkeeper Randell Coulombe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dennis Durham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Randell Coulombe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennis Durham in the 20th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Bacotville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucien Perdue came free, but Sammy Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sammy Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brock Kearney, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Neptune got a freekick which was hit by Rene Rowland. In the 35th minute, Hipolito Grayson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 minutes, Rene Rowland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Neptune and the Bacotville AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Neptune got a freekick which was hit by Rene Rowland. 41 minutes into the match, Bacotville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brock Kearney came free, but Sammy Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dennis Durham came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Bacotville AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Durham couldn't finish the play. Harry McCord hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bacotville AFC's zone, Lucien Perdue stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sammy Koehler came out of the goal and Lucien Perdue tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucien Perdue to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Bacotville AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Florence Hamm hit a great ball. In the 54th minute Lucien Perdue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dennis Durham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Durham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Randell Coulombe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brock Kearney who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Sammy Koehler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Jason Ruiz fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neptune's protests and gave Jason Ruiz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Jason Ruiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neptune's Randell Coulombe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Durham in the 70th minute of play. After 71 minutes, Sylvester Burris mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bacotville AFC and the Neptune players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 played minutes Bacotville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sylvester Burris. In the 76th minute Lucien Perdue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brock Kearney got free with Sammy Koehler in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dennis Durham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Coulombe having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Korey Pépin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacotville AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Korey Pépin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brock Kearney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy Koehler having to interfere. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bacotville AFC's goalkeeper Sammy Koehler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bacotville AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Neptune for a fine match.
