Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Louis Mahoney got the match started through his kick off. Miquel Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lynn Akers having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Burgis FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Kraft came free, but Lynn Akers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Louis Mahoney's late challenge caught a Kedgwick FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Louis Mahoney helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Burgis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Mahoney to maneuver through the defense. Jean Kraft received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Lynn Akers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Miquel Murphy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Burgis FC defense, Miquel Murphy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lynn Akers. The Burgis FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lynn Akers should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean Kraft to make the kick off. Damian Staley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justin Weathers having to interfere. If Jean Kraft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lynn Akers made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Jean Kraft sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Kedgwick FC's zone, Damien Bradshaw stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justin Weathers came out of the goal and Damien Bradshaw tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute Louis Mahoney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justin Weathers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justin Weathers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Bradshaw, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Burgis FC's goalkeeper Lynn Akers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean Kraft. Damien Bradshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kedgwick FC's Justin Weathers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Mahoney in the 82nd minute of play. Damian Staley took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Justin Weathers. Justin Weathers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.
