In the 13th minute of the match Israel Delgado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but John Cornett showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Miquel Murphy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kedgwick FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miquel Murphy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Harry Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kedgwick FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mattice the free kick. Harry Castro hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Justin Weathers made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Leopoldo Navarro sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Kedgwick FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Reed Guerra hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kedgwick FC's goalkeeper Justin Weathers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Branden Irvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kedgwick FC's Vince Holman suffered a concussion after 27 minutes and had to leave the field. Desmond Hodges's late challenge caught a Kedgwick FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Desmond Hodges helped the player get up and apologised. Desmond Hodges hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The long shot by Jeffery Manuel in the 31st minute really tested Justin Weathers's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Mattice's Clemente Asselin got a free kick in the 34th minute. Leopoldo Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean Kraft stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 73 minutes of play Kedgwick FC's Miquel Murphy was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Kedgwick FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Miquel Murphy hit a great ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Leopoldo Navarro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mattice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Navarro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justin Weathers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Branden Irvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Leopoldo Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justin Weathers having to interfere. When Jean Kraft fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kedgwick FC's protests and gave Jean Kraft a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Kedgwick FC got a freekick which was hit by Jean Kraft. In the 86th minute, Jean Kraft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justin Weathers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Leopoldo Navarro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kedgwick FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
