An unexpectedly hard shot by Elijah Edwards in the 14th minute of play forced Thornhill's goalkeeper Donte Darling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Winisk's Bryce McBride proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Winisk from getting a goal against them. If Jonas Blackman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Thornhill booed when Winisk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léopold Love didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elijah Edwards took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donte Darling. Donte Darling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Thornhill's zone, Elijah Edwards stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donte Darling came out of the goal and Elijah Edwards tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thornhill's Donte Darling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elijah Edwards in the 41st minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Blackman to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruce Babin hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The referee gave Thornhill a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Garry Heard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Winisk's Bryce McBride. 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carl Ellis got free with Donte Darling in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonas Blackman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryce McBride having to interfere. In the last second Donte Darling throw himself and got hold of the ball when Elijah Edwards in the 69thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Bryce McBride showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristopher Roman in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristopher Roman in the 73rd minute of play forced Winisk's goalkeeper Bryce McBride to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Thornhill's goal looked a bit too open when Elijah Edwards came free, but Donte Darling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kristopher Roman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Thornhill's goalkeeper Donte Darling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Ellis. Carl Ellis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donte Darling having to interfere. The supporters of Winisk booed when Thornhill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamie Pinneau didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 played minutes Thornhill got a freekick which was hit by Felix Triplett. Donte Darling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elijah Edwards in the 90th minute of play. Carl Ellis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Donte Darling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
