Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Morris in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lynn Akers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lynn Akers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Morris in the 17th minute of play. Simon Morris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Josh Goguen scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lynn Akers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Louis Mahoney was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Burgis FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Melocheville's Cristopher Wynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Melocheville from getting a goal against them. Burgis FC's Lynn Akers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josh Goguen in the 32nd minute of play. Damien Bradshaw blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristopher Wynn having to make a save. In the 37th minute of the match Miguel Putnam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristopher Wynn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josh Goguen made a kick off. Damien Bradshaw blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristopher Wynn having to make a save. After having played for 57 minutes, Josh Goguen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melocheville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josh Goguen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Burgis FC's Lynn Akers got control of the ball when Simon Morris tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Burgis FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Neal Goldman hit a great ball. Burgis FC's Damian Staley got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 minutes, Neal Goldman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burgis FC and the Melocheville players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joesph Escobar's late challenge caught a Burgis FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Burgis FC's Lynn Akers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Burgis FC from getting a goal against them.
