When Harry Castro fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kedgwick FC's protests and gave Harry Castro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Kedgwick FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Castro to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Benito Parrish managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maryfield AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benito Parrish was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justin Weathers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Maryfield AFC's Vincent Velazquez got control of the ball when Jean Kraft tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Parrish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry Castro got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Maryfield AFC booed when Kedgwick FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jarrett Locke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Justin Weathers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Whitney Henrichon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maryfield AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kedgwick FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Maryfield AFC's Whitney Henrichon got a free kick in the 31st minute. Jean Kraft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Velazquez having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarrett Locke to make the kick off. Justin Weathers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarrett Locke in the 53rd minute of the match. Benito Parrish could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Justin Weathers made a huge save. After having played for 63 minutes, Benito Parrish managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maryfield AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Parrish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Jean Kraft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Velazquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Parrish could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Justin Weathers made a huge save. Maryfield AFC's Rickie Gregoire got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jean Kraft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Maryfield AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Kraft came free, but Vincent Velazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean Kraft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Velazquez having to interfere. Miquel Murphy struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Vincent Velazquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kedgwick FC. Jean Kraft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maryfield AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
