Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dusty Cannon took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rich Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dusty Cannon in the 6th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Elphinstone AFC's zone, Darrell Samuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rich Arias came out of the goal and Darrell Samuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th minute Dusty Cannon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rich Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Nordegg's Darrell Samuel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rich Arias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Joey Kiser's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Ronald Goff skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Darrell Samuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dusty Cannon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Arias having to interfere. Rich Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dusty Cannon in the 22nd minute of play. Rich Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darrell Samuel in the 24th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerard Bousquet in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronald Goff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Nordegg's Darrell Samuel in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elphinstone AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Darrell Samuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elphinstone AFC's Rich Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dusty Cannon in the 34th minute of play. Joey Kiser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ronald Goff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerard Bousquet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joey Kiser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerard Bousquet to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Elphinstone AFC's Gerard Bousquet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronald Goff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Elphinstone AFC's Rich Arias got control of the ball when Darrell Samuel tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Nordegg's Dusty Cannon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rich Arias. That made the score 0-2 after 66 minutes of play. Ronald Goff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Kiser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92ndth minute of the game Gerard Bousquet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nordegg's Ronald Goff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nordegg walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
