Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) Rosetown FC's Granville Richards started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Stanton Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Granville Richards recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Stanton Rose's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernand Pinette was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Bennie Mayer hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Barrhead FC were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Rosetown FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cornelius Sheehan took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Mohammad Bonsaint heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 19 minutes into the match, Rosetown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Larsen came free, but Jed McDaniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Granville Richards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Fernand Pinette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Barrhead FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohammad Bonsaint to maneuver through the defense. Stanton Rose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernand Pinette having to interfere. Guadalupe Childress's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jed McDaniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rosetown FC's zone, Claude Larsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jed McDaniel came out of the goal and Claude Larsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Claude Larsen made the kick off in the second half. Granville Richards sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Barrhead FC's Claude Larsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jed McDaniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claude Larsen in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jed McDaniel saved Rosetown FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Stanton Rose sped through Barrhead FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernand Pinette. The audience was convinced that Guadalupe Childress's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jed McDaniel was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Rosetown FC's Jed McDaniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guadalupe Childress in the 76th minute of play. Rosetown FC's Stanton Rose got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Guadalupe Childress managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrhead FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guadalupe Childress was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jed McDaniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Granville Richards struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Fernand Pinette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosetown FC. Leandro Lofton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Granville Richards fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernand Pinette having to interfere.
