Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fonthill AFC's Pierre Poulin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Preston got free with Trinidad Torres in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 5th play minute Michel Preston came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Trinidad Torres. 1-0. Arlie Tanner's late challenge caught a Crossfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arlie Tanner helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Crossfield booed when Fonthill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlie Tanner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Preston was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Crossfield's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 19th minute, Raul Bullock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fonthill AFC's Trinidad Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lenny Kenney in the 24th minute of play. Rickey Leach was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Trinidad Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickey Leach in the 27th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Rickey Leach ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trinidad Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Trinidad Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michel Preston in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Fonthill AFC's Trinidad Torres got control of the ball when Michel Preston tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute, Michel Preston left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crossfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With an all-out effort, Crossfield's Trinidad Torres threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rickey Leach, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 38th match minute, Fonthill AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randall Cadieux to maneuver through the defense. In the 40thth minute of the game Rickey Leach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fonthill AFC's Trinidad Torres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Trinidad Torres was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rickey Leach showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 47 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The wind increased when Rickey Leach made the kick off in the second half. Michel Preston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute of the match Raul Bullock shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trinidad Torres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Fonthill AFC's Morgan Beaulieu got a free kick in the 58th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fonthill AFC's zone, Rickey Leach stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trinidad Torres came out of the goal and Rickey Leach tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Michel Preston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. César Singletary received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Stephen Dove tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Crossfield got a freekick which was hit by Nicky Roper. In the 81st minute of the match Ben McGrath sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stephen Dove skillfully saved the ball. In the 81st match minute, Crossfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Crossfield's Stephen Dove proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Crossfield from getting a goal against them. After 85 played minutes Crossfield got a freekick which was hit by Harry Cruz. César Singletary sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Irvin Shipp during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes Fonthill AFC got a freekick which was hit by Irvin Shipp. Michel Preston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, Crossfield's Harry Cruz got a free kick in the 95th minute. If Pierre Poulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. César Singletary blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stephen Dove having to make a save. Crossfield's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
