After having played for 4 minutes, Ethan Harrell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ethan Harrell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franklin Bourget in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Korey Figueroa charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Korey Figueroa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FriBeRtz FC's Korey Figueroa got a free kick in the 9th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Francesco Demers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FriBeRtz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francesco Demers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jesus Holder's late challenge caught a FriBeRtz FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jesus Holder helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Yale getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jesus Holder hit a great ball. Benjamin Corbett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mohammad Hartley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ethan Harrell in the 37th minute of play. Marcelo Simard charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Simard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benjamin Corbett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Hartley having to interfere. In the 47th minute of the match Corin Medley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Moreira skillfully saved the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Franklin Bourget sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to FriBeRtz FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Korey Figueroa hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Yale's Alberto Moreira threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Franklin Bourget, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Yale's Franklin Bourget slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alberto Moreira. That made the score 0-1 after 56 minutes of play. Loup Oneill kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Yale's zone, Francesco Demers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohammad Hartley came out of the goal and Francesco Demers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes in the game Corin Medley did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Franklin Bourget. In the 70th minute Franklin Bourget shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes, Franklin Bourget mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yale and the FriBeRtz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FriBeRtz FC booed when Yale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Bourget didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes FriBeRtz FC got a freekick which was hit by Lacy Ashby. In the 77th minute, Francesco Demers made a precise shot to the right of Mohammad Hartley. Yale's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Francesco Demers might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mohammad Hartley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francesco Demers ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Francesco Demers managed to get in a good position for a shot. FriBeRtz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francesco Demers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohammad Hartley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justin Bourgeois during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Yale booed when FriBeRtz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Bourgeois didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Loup Oneill from long distance, 89 minutes into the match, got Alberto Moreira's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 92nd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Corin Medley hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Francesco Demers might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mohammad Hartley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francesco Demers ran back to his position shaking his head. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
