Redvers FC's Murray Li played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Ledford in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Redvers FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Preston Racine hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Bourget in the 16th minute of play forced Redvers FC's goalkeeper Murray Li to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ethan Harrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franklin Bourget received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Murray Li tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Yale fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Yale's Ethan Harrell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jon Ledford kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Yale defense, Dimitri Muller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mohammad Hartley. The Yale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mohammad Hartley should have stopped the shot. In the 29th match minute, Redvers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Santos to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, Redvers FC's Dimitri Muller nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mohammad Hartley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ethan Harrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseo Baker made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Redvers FC's Eliseo Baker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mohammad Hartley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Ethan Harrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murray Li having to interfere. Franklin Bourget sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Yale booed when Redvers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deangelo Lloyd didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yale fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Redvers FC a penalty, 86 minutes into the game.
