Évariste Skaggs started the match with the kick off. With 2 minutes on the clock, Randall Lamothe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 3rd minute, Randall Lamothe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rémy Yost in the 5th minute of play forced Yarker's goalkeeper Luc Minton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yarker's Luc Minton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Yarker from getting a goal against them. Odell Atkinson struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Isreal Pelletier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yarker. Odell Atkinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isreal Pelletier having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rémy Yost got free with Luc Minton in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Yarker's Luc Minton got control of the ball when Rémy Yost tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute, Javier Eckert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Odell Atkinson struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Isreal Pelletier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yarker. Luc Minton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Évariste Skaggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yarker's Luc Minton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Yarker from getting a goal against them. Odell Atkinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isreal Pelletier having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Odell Atkinson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isreal Pelletier was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Odell Atkinson made the kick off in the second half. Pictou AFC's Neal Prescott managed to work through Yarker's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Neal Prescott dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Odell Atkinson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Isreal Pelletier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Luc Minton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neal Prescott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luc Minton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damon Croteau in the 59th minute of the match. Odell Atkinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Isreal Pelletier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Javier Eckert came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Yarker fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Eckert couldn't finish the play. Odell Atkinsons short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Isreal Pelletier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Isreal Pelletier managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Yarker's Odell Atkinson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 75th match minute, Yarker was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Eckert to maneuver through the defense. Odell Atkinson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Isreal Pelletier made a huge save. 81 minutes into the match, Yarker's goal looked a bit too open when Neal Prescott came free, but Luc Minton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Pictou AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Gill to maneuver through the defense. Ben Acevedo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
