Mississauga Mavericks's Renard Stovall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donny Worthington in the 36th minute of play. Renard Stovall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Randall Lamothe, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Odell Atkinson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yarker's supporters rose to their feet, but Odell Atkinson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renard Stovall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

In the 86th minute Odell Atkinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renard Stovall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ambrose Fecteau charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ambrose Fecteau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
