The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Dawson's goal looked a bit too open when Théophile Conroy came free, but Ambroise Smiley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ambroise Smiley made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Kirk Cottrell sent off a good shot on target. After 11 minutes, Nicky Knox mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dawson and the Warman players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcellus Mothé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurent Lewis in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Dawson getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Virgil AyotHayot hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cleveland DuLin in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcellus Mothé saved Warman from getting behind. The supporters of Dawson booed when Warman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tod Hutchins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Warman's Kirk Cottrell got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Everette Quintana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cleveland DuLin scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcellus Mothé, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Dawson booed when Warman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmie Purcell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Dawson's Nicky Knox tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Cleveland DuLin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Dawson booed when Warman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tod Hutchins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambroise Smiley made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Everette Quintana sent off a good shot on target. Eugenio Conley kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Théophile Conroy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ambroise Smiley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everette Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ambroise Smiley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everette Quintana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gaspard Friedman fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Warman's protests and gave Gaspard Friedman a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had been going on for 69 minutes, Dawson's Nicky Knox got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marcellus Mothé. Cleveland DuLin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dawson's Ambroise Smiley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirk Cottrell in the 78th minute of play. Ambroise Smiley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Cottrell in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Dawson's Laurent Lewis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcellus Mothé narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeramy Lafond charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeramy Lafond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Dawson getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. In the 92nd minute Kirk Cottrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambroise Smiley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorsey Bates in the 93rd minute of play forced Dawson's goalkeeper Ambroise Smiley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Isiah Marino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dawson's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warman the free kick.
