Jean Croteau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Trimble having to interfere. Marcel Trimble made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Jean Croteau sent off a good shot on target. Jean Croteau scored 2-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Trimble, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 43 played minutes, Liverpool's George McAllister shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcel Trimble came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Liverpool reached it. 46 minutes into the match, Aylesford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tod Rodgers came free, but Marcel Trimble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clint Gipson made a kick off. If Tod Rodgers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. Aylesford AFC's Marcel Trimble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Croteau in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Rudolf Francoeur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jean Croteau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Marcel Trimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aylesford AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Rudolf Francoeur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, Liverpool's Jean Croteau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcel Trimble made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. In the 78th minute of the match Jean Croteau shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcel Trimble showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Aylesford AFC's zone, Pat Bouvier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Trimble came out of the goal and Pat Bouvier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcel Trimble showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Croteau, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, Pat Bouvier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean Croteau in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Trimble prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Aylesford AFC booed when Liverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pat Bouvier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Aylesford AFC's Jae Lemieux got a free kick in the 93rd minute. If Ron Burke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Liverpool were the better team. Liverpool's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
