Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Donnie Berger started the match with the kick off. Luigi Goldsmith hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Robert Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Renaud Britt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renaud Britt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Bermudez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10thth minute of the game Donnie Berger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clairmont AFC's Hector Wray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Kim Tobin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renaud Britt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brad Lyles in the 13th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hung Wu during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hung Wu kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Renaud Britt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brad Lyles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Brad Lyles notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Edmonton Elks's Renaud Britt. Renaud Britt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd match minute, Edmonton Elks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luigi Goldsmith to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Edmonton Elks getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Earle Ayers hit a great ball. Robert Bermudez took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renaud Britt. Renaud Britt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After 42 minutes of play, Clairmont AFC's Brad Lyles made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renaud Britt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brad Lyles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brad Lyles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robert Bermudez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Renaud Britt made a huge save. 54 minutes into the game, Donnie Berger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Hector Wray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 62 minutes into the match, Edmonton Elks's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Tobin came free, but Renaud Britt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kim Tobin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renaud Britt having to interfere. Brad Lyles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Renaud Britt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kim Tobin got free with Renaud Britt in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Kim Tobin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 86 minutes, Donnie Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edmonton Elks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donnie Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmonton Elks's Renaud Britt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Edmonton Elks from getting a goal against them. Renaud Britt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brad Lyles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Bermudez came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Renaud Britt could save by the left post. Luigi Goldsmith blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hector Wray having to make a save. Clairmont AFC played a much better game than Edmonton Elks and deserved their victory. The Edmonton Elks players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
