The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Règne Rouge getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Roland Willoughby hit a great ball. Rocky Latham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Burch in the 6th minute of the match. Rocky Latham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joan Jefferson, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Vito Stanford hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Règne Rouge defense, Emon McCracken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rocky Latham. The Règne Rouge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rocky Latham should have stopped the shot. Rocky Latham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emon McCracken in the 21st minute of the match. Rocky Latham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emon McCracken in the 21st minute of play. Loup Worthington stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guy Sneed's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Loup Worthington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantin Toth, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Bruce Burch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rocky Latham was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Guy Sneed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Règne Rouge's supporters rose to their feet, but Guy Sneed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loup Worthington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rocky Latham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emon McCracken, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Guy Sneed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Loup Worthington made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Constantin Toth sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 45 minutes, Constantin Toth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Règne Rouge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantin Toth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Règne Rouge's Guy Sneed got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Règne Rouge players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Angry Smurfs were winning 0-2.

After having played for 57 minutes, Constantin Toth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Règne Rouge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantin Toth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, one of Règne Rouge:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Règne Rouge. Loup Worthington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy Sneed in the 69th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Règne Rouge got a freekick which was hit by Carson Swanson. The crowd rose to their feet as Bruce Burch kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rocky Latham. That made the score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Angry Smurfs's zone, Guy Sneed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loup Worthington came out of the goal and Guy Sneed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Constantin Toth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loup Worthington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Constantin Toth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Loup Worthington was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Guy Sneed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Règne Rouge's Rocky Latham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emon McCracken in the 92nd minute of play. After 93 played minutes Angry Smurfs got a freekick which was hit by Joan Jefferson. Carson Swanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loup Worthington having to interfere. After having played for 99 minutes, Bruce Burch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angry Smurfs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruce Burch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of Angry Smurfs were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Règne Rouge side.
