In the 8th minute Beau Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ethan Blank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Avonport booed when Hebron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ellis Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Buster Overton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hebron fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! If Erin Estrada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Avonport's Beau Herrera in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hebron's goalie prevented a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Beau Herrera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ethan Blank. Hebron's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beau Herrera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 28 played minutes Hebron got a freekick which was hit by Ellis Alvarado. Dalton Byrd scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ethan Blank, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hebron's Ethan Blank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beau Herrera in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Hebron getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ellis Alvarado hit a great ball. Ethan Blank showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beau Herrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Sal Provencher was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Ellis Alvarado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ellis Alvarado really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ellis Alvarado to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Hebron got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Blais. If Ellis Alvarado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Omar Simard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ethan Blank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Hebron's Ethan Blank got control of the ball when Jimmie French tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, one of Hebron:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hebron. Emmanuel Blais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sal Provencher having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Ellis Alvarado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Erin Estrada came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Hebron fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erin Estrada couldn't finish the play. Avonport's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
