When Krystian Żmuda came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the AFC Richmond fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krystian Żmuda couldn't finish the play. Kirk Lafond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fatsali Hamdi in the 12th minute of the match. Hubert Sharp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazinho Vasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kirk Lafond came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Richmond's Derek Yu. But to his dismay, Derek Yu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Krystian Żmuda took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kirk Lafond. Kirk Lafond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veto Steller, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Krystian Żmuda in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kirk Lafond prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute Sanford Glenn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk Lafond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DOE FC's Kirk Lafond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sanford Glenn in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute DOE FC were awarded a corner. Tyler Bowser went to the cornerflag to take it. After 44 minutes of play, AFC Richmond's Krystian Żmuda made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kirk Lafond was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aurelian Remus hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Krystian Żmuda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, AFC Richmond's Kirk Lafond threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Veto Steller, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Erasmo Merchant hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. AFC Richmond's Fatsali Hamdi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Antwan Gallagher, made in the 64th minute of the game. 68 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Vasco came free, but Hubert Sharp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dewayne Michaud got a throw-in 72 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Krystian Żmuda. Hubert Sharp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquis Frank, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. AFC Richmond's supporters rose to their feet, but Krystian Żmuda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirk Lafond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 78 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Vasco came free, but Hubert Sharp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mazinho Vasco came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the DOE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mazinho Vasco couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Mazinho Vasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DOE FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4.
