Licerio Abecia charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Licerio Abecia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sirihorca AFC's Licerio Abecia got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a defensive mix-up in Laquiputo AFC's zone, Petrigai Abella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sauveur Lomeli came out of the goal and Petrigai Abella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ubendu Abajas might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sauveur Lomeli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubendu Abajas ran back to his position shaking his head. Petrigai Abellas short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Sauveur Lomeli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sirihorca AFC's Ubendu Abajas got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Petrigai Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 minutes, Mateus Trasgallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laquiputo AFC and the Sirihorca AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Petrigai Abellas short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Sauveur Lomeli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ubendu Abajas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sauveur Lomeli having to make a save. If Petrigai Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
