Mercurio Grado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Llorian Benegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Topador AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diegotxe Monterinos to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Chano Trasmiera sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Topador AFC's Llorian Benegas didn't even have to move. In the 27thth minute of the game Rubio Angulo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New York Red Bulls's Remicio Lario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Topador AFC's Rubio Angulo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remicio Lario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Danilo Criales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Llorian Benegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Topador AFC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Luisito Regaño hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in New York Red Bulls's zone, Luisito Regaño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remicio Lario came out of the goal and Luisito Regaño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubio Angulo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Mercurio Grado managed to get in a good position for a shot. New York Red Bulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Mercurio Grado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Llorian Benegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the New York Red Bulls defense, Fidele Polla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remicio Lario. The New York Red Bulls fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remicio Lario should have stopped the shot. Diegotxe Monterinos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Mercurio Grado made a precise shot to the right of Llorian Benegas. Topador AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When New York Red Bulls's Mercurio Grado in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Topador AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Rubio Angulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remicio Lario having to interfere. If Rubio Angulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 85 in the game by Fidele Polla from a close distance when the talented Remicio Lario managed to make a qualified save. New York Red Bulls's players were relieved. Rubio Angulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remicio Lario having to interfere. Fidele Polla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Rubio Angulo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remicio Lario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Topador AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than New York Red Bulls.
