After 18 played minutes Juan Rosas Y Rancagua got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Cuadrado. Lano Barra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Collantes having to interfere. Hector-Luis Feliu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elivareo Risel went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Sandalio Morana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lano Barra in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Collantes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gutxi Gallerreta got free with Hector-Luis Feliu in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Collantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandalio Morana, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Juan Rosas Y Rancagua's Hector-Luis Feliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivareo Risel in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Gutxi Gallerreta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmitas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gutxi Gallerreta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sandalio Morana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Elivareo Risel made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd play minute Lano Barra came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fernando Collantes. 2-1. Hector-Luis Feliu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lano Barra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Collantes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lano Barra in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute Sandalio Morana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Collantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandalio Morana took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Collantes. Fernando Collantes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Sandalio Morana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Fernando Collantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
