Coronilla's Froylan Courel got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Gadañon hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 11th match minute, Coronilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fix Cantolla to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Boni Mensa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Coronilla's Lartaun Postigo didn't even have to move. Lucero Esnarriaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godofredo Boces made a kick off. Lartaun Postigo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 89 played minutes Pedernal got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Gadañon. Niolaao Mallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucero Esnarriaga in the 90th minute of the match. Many of Coronilla's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Coronilla may have spent more time on the ball, but Pedernal were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
